Understanding Cancellation Policies

Every listing on Shoot Folder has one of three cancellation tiers. Check before you book.

Flexible

Full refund up to 24 hours before

Cancel up to 24 hours before your booking start time for a full refund of the Base Amount. Cancel within 24 hours and 50% of the Base Amount is refunded. No-show: no refund.

Moderate

Full refund up to 7 days before

Cancel at least 7 days before your booking for a full refund of the Base Amount. Cancel within 7 days but more than 24 hours before: 75% refund. Cancel within 24 hours: no refund.

Punctual

Full refund up to 30 days before

Cancel at least 30 days before for a full refund. Within 30–14 days: 75% refund. Within 14–7 days: 50% refund. Within 7 days: no refund.

Refunds apply to the Base Amount only. The Platform Service Fee and GST on it are non-refundable in all cases.

Production Planning

Filming Permits in India

A brief overview of permit requirements across major filming cities.

Filming permits in India are managed by different authorities depending on the city and the type of location. Most productions shooting in public spaces, heritage sites, or government-controlled areas will need prior written permission.

In Mumbai, filming permits for public locations are issued by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) through its Entertainment Department. Permissions for railway stations, bridges, and coastal areas require separate applications to the respective authorities.

Delhi productions typically require clearance from the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) or the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), depending on the zone. Shoots near Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhavan, or defence installations need additional Ministry of Defence approval.

In Hyderabad, the Telangana State Film Development Corporation (TSFDC) operates a single-window clearance system that simplifies the process for most locations across the state, including heritage sites like Golconda Fort and Chowmahalla Palace.

Chennai and Tamil Nadu productions can apply through the Tamil Nadu Film Commission, which coordinates with local police, forest departments, and temple trusts. The commission also offers facilitation for international co-productions shooting in the state.

Payments & Invoices

All payments are processed through Razorpay. Your card details are never stored on our servers.

Accepted payment methods

Pay with UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, or Razorpay wallets. All major Indian banks and international Visa/Mastercard are supported.

Transparent price breakdown

Every booking shows the base price, applicable GST (18%) if any, and Shoot Folder service fee separately. No hidden charges.

Host payout timeline

Hosts receive their payout within T+2 to T+4 business days after the booking is completed. Funds are transferred directly via UPI to the payout method registered in your Shoot Folder account.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed within 3–10 business days. The refund amount depends on the listing's cancellation tier and when you cancelled.
